Pow Wow:
"It is my considerd opinion that the hairdresser is the most influential person in any community.  When the public goes to a hairdresser, something happens to them.  They feel safe and they relax.  The hairdresser knows what their skin is like under their makeup, they know their age, they don't have to keep up any kind of pretense.  People tell a hairdresser things they wouldnt dare confess to a priest and they are open about matters they try to conceal from a doctor.  When people place their secret life in the hairdressers hands, the hairdresser gains an authority few other people ever attain.  I have heard hairdressers quoted with complete conviction on, art, literature, politics, economics, child care and morals.  I tell you that a clever, thoughtful, ambitious hairdresser wields a power beyond the comprehension of most people"

On the Floor:
Got MY hair done today!  Traveled from Strawberry Fields to Lavender Land :)  Inspiration was GaGa, of course.  Thank you to the wonderful Miss Aya K!  Your work is b-e-a-uuuuutful.

Photo Shoot:
At SFIEC, our tuition includes a photo shoot and a runway show put on by students called Debut.  The photo shoot is our dream, brought to life with the help of Jeanne, The Goddess of Cosmetology (head of the Cosmo program at school) and two wonderful photographers.  We design the concept, hair, makeup, and wardrobe.  I am mildly obsessed with the 70's scene so I'm thinking a 70's rock photo shoot.

Debut:
Every few months, the students closest to graduating put on a runway show called Debut.  We brainstorm on a theme, then find a model and do a cut, color and style of our choice on them.  I was a model last Debut and the experience was one I will never forget.  I can not WAIT for my work to walk down the runway.  Inspiration?  GaGa again!  Platinum with pink?

On the Home Front:
My life is in boxes.
Mom and Dad called me after they met Boris, CEO and Founder of Evolvh Orgainc Hair care.  They chatted it up and long story short, I will be doing makeup for him at a bridal show in Santa Clara on Sunday.  YES!!!!

Pow Wow:
"Sometimes the people you want to give your love to the least, are the ones who need it the most".
It is FREE HUG DAY here at SFIEC!  Every year, Paul Mitchell schools all across the nation set out into the community in hopes of being a daymaker to someone in need of a little love.  About 20 students armed with love, signs, and a loudspeaker hit the downtown SF and Union Square area and gave out as many hugs as we could!

On the Floor:
Stephanie came back to me for a cut.  We did it up Rihanna style when she first cut it short :)

On the Home Front:
Still on a high from so many hugs.  Hopefully this will help me get through all the packing still left to be done.
